Part 3: A Conversation With An Angel

A Wish Floats Away Into The Universe

by Virginia Earl

She sits under the glow of a blue moon
Closes her eyes and waits...
In the still of the night
As clouds sneak by gently kissing the moon
She waits patiently for a sign...
And as a breeze gently kisses her face
She hears white whispers…

Little Girl: Is it time now?
Angel: Yes, you may open your eyes now my dear.
LG: I’ve missed you.
A: I’ve missed you too. Would you like a hug?
LG: Yes, I would love one.
A: Ahh, we love you and are around you every day.
LG: I know. I feel it. I like that. It makes me feel  better to know you’re with me.
What is the message this time?
A: She’s very, very sad right now.
LG: Why?
A: Because she’s never felt this way before.  Something is missing and she’s not sure why it’s happening now …
LG: What is missing Angel?
A: I think she knows what it is but she really needs to find the answers on her own love. We cannot do it for her. I know what the answer is but I cannot tell you nor tell her.  We will guide her. That is all we can do.
LG: Can I help?
A: Just be with her and give her all your love.
LG:  I always do. I love her very, very much.
A: Now my love. Don’t cry. She loves you very, very much.
She has been holding something inside for many, many years and although she is sad, it is good that she is realizing what’s missing a little bit at a time.
LG: Why will she not tell me what it is?
A: Because she loves you and doesn’t want to hurt you or anyone else but at some point it will all be better and she will rise above it all and all her wishes will become true.  God is by her side. He also watches over her and helps her too. Did you know that?
LG: Yes. I know.  Angel, do you know what her wishes are?
A: Yes we all do and there are several of us helping her get to where she needs to be and to where she belongs.
LG: Thank you. You don’t have to tell me more. My mommy always says that wishes are sacred. You keep them to yourself.  You sit under the stars and close your eyes, you put your hands together to make the shape of a heart, then you place your wish inside a pink bubble, hold it close to your heart, say a prayer, kiss it, blow it and imagine it floating away into the universe…
A: That’s very true. That’s how you do it. Now, can we try it together? You put your wish inside your pink bubble and I will do the same.
LG: This is fun. Just remember… don’t tell me what it is.
A: I shan’t.
LG: Let’s blow it away at the same time. Ready?
A: 1, 2, 3 … Blow it away…
LG: All done. Will this help mommy?
A: Yes, it will my love. Now, it’s time for me to go back. Would you like me to tuck you in tonight?
LG: Yes Angel. That’s my favorite. I don’t see you very often.
A: Very well then. Close your eyes and I will carry you into your room. Watch out for my wings love.
LG: I will. Will you cover me with them before you leave and say a prayer with me?
A: Yes, and we can make another wish in prayer together.
LG: Thank you.
A: Just don’t tell me what it is…
LG: I know.
A: It’s time for me to go now.  Oh, and one more thing… Tell your mommy, her mommy and daddy are watching over her too. They’re by her side every day.
LG: They are?
A: Yes they are.
LG: How long does it take for wishes to become true?
A: You’re a very smart girl. Sometimes it doesn’t take very long, maybe days, or weeks and other times months, years. It depends what you wish for.  Your mommy’s wish will take a while.
LG: That makes me sad because I don’t want her to be sad.
A: Well, try not to be because in the end her wish will become true.  Now, my love close your eyes and go to sleep. It’s time for me to go now. They’re waiting for me… I love you.
LG: But….
A: No buts…. Now, now.  Close your beautiful  blue eyes and go to sleep.  I will hug you once more. Good-night love. And when you need me, you know I will come back always.
LG: I know. I love you so much.
A: I love you too my love. Night, night. Blowing kisses now from above. Catch them.
LG: I did. Good-night.
A: Good-night.
